Pommele Sapele

Sapele trees are found all through Africa. It is weak pink to dark red in color. The popularity of Sapele is growing in the U.S.. It is considered easy to work with, using most tools or by hand, and proves no difficulty finishing. Pommele Sapele is occasionally developed from some logs that are cut half round. It is considered a beautiful and unique pattern that is widely used for high end architectural design woodwork. It finishes really well, but must be handle with care when picking up because of interlocking grains.
