| American Oak is found in North America and is led by two species, White Oak and Red Oak. They have similar grain patterns is all cuts. When quarter cut you would notice a striking flake. A distinct figure with great contrast is the result noticed from a rotary cut. American Oak is a heavy harwood with prominent pores. It is very difficult to distinguish the difference between Red and White Oak when they have a finish on them.
