Lacewood

Lacewood, which is sometimes referred to as "Silky Oak", originates from Australia. It is usually a light pink color with silvery sheen. Lacewood contains small flaky grains due to large rays. It is not uncommon for it to contain gum deposits. The appearance is very attractive when used in small areas, like a border. Lacewood is considered rare and valuable as veneer. It is a common choice architectural design and woodwork.
