Douglas Fir

Douglas Fir is found in the Pacific Northwest on the west side of the Cascades mountains. It is usually light red or mustard tan color. Because of the enormous size of the timber it can produce a tremendous amount of veneer. The most interesting fact about Douglas Fir is that it is not a true Fir at all. It is used mostly for architectural paneling.
