Chestnut

Wormy Chestnut
| American "Wormy" Chestnut is located primarily in the eastern parts of the United States. It is close to extinction, but through planned development it may be on the rebound. The heartwood is light brown and the sap is nearly white. With the worm holes universally scattered it is sliced into veneer and makes unique paneling. Chestnut is considered rare and valuable. |
