Cherry is grown throughout the eastern United States and is very popular in the furniture business. The color of Cherry varies from a pale pink to a light reddish brown, and sometimes can contain small gum pockets within the growth rings. It is light, but yet a strong and rather hard wood. Cherry veneer is considered one of the most popular woods to use for cabinets, furniture, and also fine architectural design woodwork.
